A stunning Catalan white from the Garraf mountain range that separates Barcelona and Sitges. This is Alt, or upper, Penedès where vineyards sit at high altitude on limestone soils – two factors that set this Xarel·lo apart from many wines grown elsewhere in the region.
Seventy-year-old, organically farmed Xarel·lo vines dot pine-forest terraces around the town of Olesa de Bonesvalls. Here, husband-and-wife team Raimon and Anna craft a lean, mineral powerhouse — somewhere between Chablis and a chiseled Muscadet.
Representing incredible quality at this price point, this lovely Xarel.lo is for lovers of pristine, mineral-driven, lightly fruity whites.
