The range is anchored by Nebbiolo from Barolo, Barbaresco, Langhe, Valtellina, Gattinara and Alto Piemonte, alongside Barbera, Dolcetto, Grignolino, Freisa, Vespolina and Croatina. Further south come Etna Rosso from Nerello Mascalese, Chianti from Tuscany, Umbrian mountain reds and Montepulciano from Abruzzo. There are no big brands, just characterful wine at fair prices.
