Welcome to Abruzzo - a hidden gem of a region where excellent quality can be found for a very reasonable price. Aged for 6 months in large French oak, this wine has intensity and is loaded with spice (clove stands out this vintage) and layers of dark fruit and dark chocolate. A beautiful, high quality offering year in, year out.
We have watched these wines subtley change over the years, in a brilliant direction. The fruit has become more pure, aromatics clearer and the use of oak a bit more restrained. The Colle Corviano wines have never been this good.
