A blend of Nebbiolo and between 10-15% of old vine Croatina (which lends a dark juiciness). The wine is aged for a year in a single large Slavonian oak barrel before spending a year in bottle before market. Licorice is there along with various red fruits, spice and local herbs. It is all about perfume, integration, individuality and precision. This is a consistently superb wine from a future Piedmontese cult producer of the very highest order. Not to be overlooked, Nebbiolo lover. A Mountain & Row favourite at a very special price!

"Ripe cherry, liquorice root, alpine herbs and baking spices. Great perfume here, and finesse, with supple but firm tannin, a succulence of ripe strawberry and cherry, cool minty acidity, dried herb, and a long finish with fine dusty tannin trailing in its wake, along with a little blood orange bitter bite. So distinctive and lovely. Cantine Garrone is a great producer, and should be on every Nebbiolo lover’s radar." Gary Walsh - The Wine Front
