Tramontane Grenache Gris is an exceptional quality (and exceptional value) 100% Grenache Gris from various parcels in the Alberes mountain range behind Argelès in Roussillon. It is often co-planted with Grenache Noir but harvested earlier. Wholebunch pressed, settled overnight and then spontaneous ferment and élevage in French and American oak barrels (proper barrels, not staves/chips!!). Five months ageing in barrel. Decant and give it the burgundy glasses – for lovers of complex wooded Chardonnay.
