Cerasuolo d'Abbruzzo is a special appellation that covers pink wine made from Montepulciano in Abbruzzo. These are often on the darker side and can be some of the finest pink wines in Italy. Incredible food wines.

From a 9 hectare, south facing vineyard of Montepulciano planted in 2000 to limestone soils at 350 metres. Destemmed. The free run juice is spontaneously fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel.

“Light red-pink. Raspberry, cherry skin and spice cake on the nose, with a subtle floral quality adding complexity. Juicy and fresh, this nicely concentrated Rosato boasts mineral-accented red berry flavours and slow building spiciness. Closes long and tangy, with greater stuffing and a bigger fruit-forward profile than some recent vintages. This is powerful enough to handle richer foods such as white meats and pasta and pizzas with tomato sauces.” 93 points - Ian D’Agata, Terroir Sense

“The 2024 Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is impossible to ignore. It has a vivid, perfumed bouquet of black cherry and wild blueberry, complemented by sweet lavender tones and hints of spice. This possesses amazing complexity and inner perfume. Violet orals arc across the palate as the Cerasuolo finishes long and slightly tart. In 2024, Cristiana Tiberio used all of her Montepulciano fruit to bolster the Cerasuolo. This is not to be missed.” 94 points - Eric Guido, Vinous
