Generous, perfumed Gamay from this superstar organic/biodynamic producer. These guys are masters of whole bunch fermentation where stems are added, bringing extra life and vitality to the wine. It has depth, and fresh enveloping fruit. Beautiful.
“The 2022 Eclat de Granite comes from Côte Roannaise, which sits far apart from the rest of the Loire Valley's vineyards, closer to Beaujolais than Sancerre and its red grape is Gamay. Sitting at altitude and from old vines, this wine is juicy and rich yet refreshing. It is young and vibrant with a purple-pink hue that abounds in primary red and black fruit and a lick of spice. Smooth, succulent and smashable, this is a wine you'll want to drink a lot of––and there's no need to wait with its low, resolved tannin structure.
